This song originally had different lyrics written by a good friend. I kept the original first two lines and took them in the song’s current direction. I love the tutti line that begins and ends the song. It suggests to me the account of God giving the commandments to Moses and Israel. That’s why I end it with the singing of the Ten Words or Commandments. This song has become for me a sort of anthem. It opens my set of orchestrated numbers.
